Design an Advertising Brochure
An advertising brochure can be a powerful and efficient marketing tool. It has the potential to promote new products to current clients, entice a prospective client or support a sales pitch. The key to an effective brochure is to design it to fulfill a specific purpose.
Instructions
1. Determine the type of brochure. There are five basic brochure types: leave-behind brochures, point-of-sale brochures, inquiry response brochures, direct mail brochures and sales support brochures. A leave-behind brochure and an inquiry response brochure are designed to follow-up with clients or prospects. The other three are designed to find new prospects.
2. Choose the size. Brochures can range from one page to a multi-page brochure. Chose the size based on how much information you need to include to promote the idea, product or service in the brochure.
3. Focus on the idea. A well-designed brochure will catch attention and encourage the reader to turn the page. To do this you need to focus on the item you are advertising. Keep the focus on the idea by answering commonly asked questions, hammering home sales points or presenting technical information.
4. Select the brochure cover. Come up with a catchy headline and a visual aid that will clearly illustrate the idea you want to promote. Design the cover to make people curious about what is in the rest of the brochure.
5. Organize content. The content of the brochure depends on the type of advertising brochure you have chosen. Keep your content interesting by placing visual aids with captions throughout the text.
6. Include contact information. A well-designed brochure creates urgency for the reader to contact you. Place your contact information in a noticeable place to ensure that the reader can find it easily. Also be sure the information is in a font and size that can be read easily.
