You are suddenly out of work and it is imperative to find new employment as quickly as possible. Jobless does not mean hopeless, but it does mean that you will need to prepare or update a resume as soon as possible. A future employer will initially decide whether to invite a candidate for an interview based on particular job requirements and expectations, and how much you match that criteria. 2. Network with your friends, relatives or neighbors. Do not be shy, pick up the phone and call them. Borrow updated resumes, especially someone in your line of work who has also done a list of resume objectives. Ask them for suggestions on wording.
