Pepsi Scholarship Programs

Pepsi is a company that likes to give back. One of the ways it gives back is by offering a variety of scholarships to students entering college. You can choose from one of several different scholarships depending on where you are going to college, what you will be studying and what your financial need is to be able to pay for school.

Quality, Trust and Growth Scholarship

The Quality, Trust and Growth Scholarship is a sizable award of $10,000. There are several requirements for you to receive this particular scholarship. You must attend a school from a specific list, which includes SUNY Binghamton, Temple University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Virginia Tech. You must already be enrolled in school and maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0. One of the helpful things about this scholarship is that it is a renewable scholarship. This means that as long as you are in school and keep your average up, you can receive the scholarship for every year you are in college.

Latino Scholarship Fund

If you are of Latino descent and living in the state of Arizona, you may be eligible for the Latino Scholarship Fund from Tostitos (owned by Pepsi/Frito Lay) and Cesar Chavez. There will only be 11 scholarships handed out each year by the fund, so making sure that your application stands out is important. Several issues determine your qualification for the scholarship: grades, volunteer work, extracurricular activities and your financial need. Students who receive the award are required to complete 30 hours of a community-type service.

Hospitality Scholarship

This grant is very specific about its receivers. Students must graduate from Hospitality High School in Washington, D.C. The students who receive this scholarship are interested in working in the hotel industry. To receive the award you must be scheduled to take 12 credit hours of college classes, have worked at least 250 hours in the hospitality business and have a grade point average of at least 3.0. The amounts of the scholarships depend on how many students apply for them and how great your financial need is.

College-Specific Scholarships

There are several other scholarships that Pepsi offers, however they are college-specific and vary in the amounts given. If you plan on attending Wayne State University, Nebraska University, Missouri State or Mid-Del Technology Center, you could receive a scholarship from the Pepsi company. Check with the financial aid office at your college of choice, even if it is not listed above, to see if your college had funds from Pepsi that it can use as a scholarship for you.
