Become A Food Demonstrator

Demonstrate Food and Get Paid!

Have you ever been to super stores like Target, Sam's Club or Costco? Have you seen the people at various stands throughout the store handing out free samples of food? Did you know these folks make $12 to $15 per hour for simply standing and giving samples all day? If you too would like to become a food demonstrator, below is a list of how you can get started.

Instructions

1. Apply online. Multiple companies hire food demonstrators. Two of the largest are Sunflower Staffing and New Concepts in Marketing. Apply to both of these companies online and choose what area you would like to work in. You may have to be willing to drive 20 to 30 minutes to some of your local stores.

2. Pick your schedule. The best part about being a food demonstrator is the fact that you only work when YOU want to work. You are given the list of available jobs and you can choose which days work best for you. A typical work day is five hours long and 90 percent of the jobs take place on weekends.

3. Get ready for your first demo. Typically you will have to provide you own black pants, black hat and white shirt for work. There should be other demonstrators on site to help you or you can ask the Manager in charge to give you basic set up instructions. The process is very simple, you set up your display table, portion out your food and greet customers as they walk by. You will inform them what you are serving, the sale price and where the product is located. If you are good with people then this may be the perfect part-time job for you!
