Part of this responsibility is that of revenue optimization. Budgeting and careful planning is involved in providing the customer what they want at the lowest cost to the company as possible.


Strategies


An account coordinator develops strategies for project completion. This includes all planning stages of the project, meeting with the clients, finding out their exact desires and needs, developing a plan and following through with it in the best and most efficient way possible. One strategy an account coordinator monitors is sales requirements placed on them. Quotas are typically placed on an account coordinator and for job advances and promotions, these quotas must be met.


Liaison


Another key aspect to an account coordinator is acting as a liaison between clients, staff members, and executives. The account coordinator does not necessarily do all the work, but rather ensures that the work gets done. This means coordinating work efforts through all appropriate employees, implementing strategies and techniques, and finally guaranteeing the work is done in a timely manner.


Salary


An account coordinator makes on average in the United States between $30,000 and $40,000 a year. According to Payscale, 79 percent of workers with this job title are female and businesses generally require at least one year of experience for prospective employees.
