Stop The Political Telemarketers

Political telemarketers often call at inconvenient times.

Political telemarketers are campaign workers who call citizens at home to solicit donations or votes. These telemarketers can be annoying and they often call at inconvenient times. Stop political telemarketers from calling you by asking them to stop calling, registering with the National Political Do Not Contact Registry and registering with the National Do Not Call Registry.

Instructions

1. Ask the political telemarketer to stop calling you. When you receive a call from a person working for a political campaign of some sort, you may ask that person to stop calling you in the future. You may also ask charities and third-party telemarketers that work on behalf of organizations to stop calling you. Ask them to put you on their organization's or company's do not call list.

2. Register with the National Political Do Not Contact Registry. Go to their website and click on the "Register for FREE Now" link. Complete a sign-up sheet for each registered voter in your household. Enter the registered voter's name, address, telephone number, email address and other pertinent information and click "Sign Up Now."

3. Register with the National Do Not Call Registry. The National Do Not Call Registry can stop some telemarketers who work for political organizations from calling you.
