Bulk Promotional Ideas

Bulk promotion can help your company succeed.

Promoting your company can be a difficult process. Bulk promotion includes sending out large quantities of promotional material in order to broadly promote your company and its work. There are many ideas for bulk promotional items. Use these ideas and others to help get the name of your company stuck in the minds of the buying public.

Pens

Pens are a great bulk promotional item. Manufacturers will print the name of your company as well as your contact information on the side of pens. Most of them offer a discount on bulk orders. Place the pens in your business and let patrons take them. Send them out to people in the community and hand them out at business conventions. When people are searching their house for a pen, they may come across yours. Make sure it is a high-quality, durable pen so potential customers will be exposed to your company name and contact information long after they receive the pen.

Business Card Magnets

Magnet companies will take your business card and reprint it in magnet form, giving you a discount for bulk orders. Hand these magnets out to a customer each time she comes to your business. Many people will throw these away, but people will often throw them on their refrigerator. This places your business information in a place where it will be seen multiple times a day.

Samples

Giving out free samples of your product is a great way to introduce your product to the marketplace. Depending on your product, there are many ways to do this in bulk. If you have a non-perishable item, such as shampoo or soap, send out small samples to as many addresses as you can. Send it in an envelope with your address and number inside. Perishable goods are more difficult to use as bulk promotional items, but it is possible. For example, if you are operating a pizzeria, send out coupons that give away a small pizza, or offer samples at a county fair.

Thank You Letters

Thank you letters are perfect for businesses that get more personal with their clients, such as lawyers or doctors. Send a thank you letter to anybody who has used your business in recent years. Using a database or mail merge, personalize the letter by adding the number of years the person has been a customer, and sign each letter by hand. This may be a lot of work, but your clients will feel special when they see your handwritten signature.
