Place Ad Codes On Your Site

Ad revenue programs allow you to earn income through your website or blog, with one potentially major drawback: If you don't know edit HTML code, you can't post the ad. Fortunately, the ad company composes the ad code for you. Your most complicated task is to add the code to the optimal spots on your web pages.

Instructions

1. Use your computer cursor to highlight the code the ad company provides. Right-click the highlighted code then click "Copy."

2. Access the HTML code for the web page where you want to place the code, in the file corresponding to the page's web address if you own a website or in the appropriate post if you own a blog. If you want to show the ad on all pages, open the template file in your website hosting account or the sidebar editing page on your blog dashboard.

3. Find the place in the code that corresponds to where you want to place the ad on the page. If you want to place it below a certain image, for example, look for "" tags that correspond to the image. If you want to place the ad below certain words, look for those words. Make room for the ad by typing "" to insert a single line break or "" to skip a line.

4. Right-click after your line break and click "Paste" to paste the ad code into the HTML code. Insert another line break to put space around the ad; otherwise, the design of your page may become distorted due to the addition of the ad.

5. Save the changes to the HTML code. Open the web page in your browser to view the ad.
