Advertise Your Small Business For Cheap

A big part of being a smart small business is investing time and energy into smart advertising. Advertising your business is what gets knowledge and customer awareness about your product or services out into the community. Used wisely, advertising can provide a strong foundation for gaining more customers, and increase your company's profit. Good advertising does not have to break the bank; here are some ways to advertise frugally.

Instructions

1. Seek out your targeted consumers. Who uses the product or service that your small business sells? Getting to know your customers and their lifestyles can help you meet them eye to eye in order to best serve them. For example, if you own a small pet sitting business, it would be smart to find a way to advertise your services in places where frequent traveler's visit often.

2. Donate to charities. Even if you can only spare a minimal amount, when you donate to charities, the exchange is that your business name is mentioned in a positive light. This can help in creating a sense of name recognition, as well as helping potential customers to associate your small business with supporting the community activities.

3. Go online. Online advertising can be generally inexpensive and it allows you to reach a broader pool of potential customers. Advertising online can be a great way to expand your small business into new areas on the map that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.

4. Treat your existing customers well. The best advertising for any business if word of mouth from a happy customer. Make sure that your employees are well trained in customer service practices and make sure your business is one that people will want to tell their friends about.

5. Hand out free stuff embossed with your business name and logo to regular customers. People love free stuff and they will turn into walking & talking advertisements when they wear your business logo t-shirt or key chains to the gym, work, etc.

6. Get involved. Stay tuned into local community events in order to allow your small business to play a part in them. For example, if you owned a small gym you could contact the hospitals and offer to set up an information booth at health fairs and exhibits. Offer a discount joining fee on that day. Advertising opportunities are plentiful when you have you finger on your local community's pulse.
