Public Relations Degree Programs

Public relations degrees prepare graduates for a career in corporate communications.

Public relations degree programs prepare students for several types of careers in the public relations field, including corporate communications and media relations management. Many colleges throughout the U.S. offer public relations degrees that focus on specific fields within the discipline.

Utah

Utah Valley University's (UVU's) public relations degree program immerses students in an intense study of the ins and outs of the public relations field. UVU recommends public relations students take upper division courses in business management to better prepare them for working in the corporate world.

New York

A public relations degree from New York's Hofstra University requires students to take a wide breadth of discipline-related lower division courses, including Mass Media: History and Development, Media Ethics and Media Relations. Supplementary courses in other disciplines are also required, including principles of marketing and public speaking.

Texas

Texas Tech University's public relations degree is the most popular program offered in the school's College of Mass Communications.
